PINK OPAKE RELEASES THEIR NEW ALBUM "MATÉRIA"

Pink Opake is pleased to announce the release of their new album "Matéria". Drawing influences from post punk, coldwave, and minimal synth, the record features 8 tracks that embody the band's distinctive sound.
Formed by Tatiana Meyer on vocals and synths, and Paulo Beto on programming, synths, and guitar, the band brings a unique energy to their compositions. "Matéria" is an album inspired by the love between the members, who are a couple, as well as the wave and dark electronic music with guitars from the 1980s.
The album was entirely recorded in the band's home studio, Anvil FX, located in São Paulo, because both members are also part of the band. Notably, the last track features a special guest appearance by Ana Romano, former member of the band Silverblood, delivering a poem from her book "A Casa das Pessoas", published by 7Letras. This track, "Joy Delirium," is a cover of a song taken from Silverblood's 1995 album "Imperfection."
The track "Ilha Urbana" is also a cover, this time by the band Muzak, featured on the iconic Brazilian post punk compilation "Não São Paulo," released in 1985.
The lyrics of "Matéria" address themes such as feminism and the pursuit of understanding what it means to be civilized and humane in today's world, challenging patriarchal structures. All lyrics were written by the couple Tatiana Meyer and Paulo Beto.
The album's conception process took approximately 6 months, resulting in a meticulously crafted work. The cover art was created by Tatiana Meyer, with design by Gilbert.

A banda Pink Opake tem o prazer de anunciar o lançamento de seu novo álbum "Matéria". Com influências do post punk, coldwave e minimal synth, o disco conta com 8 faixas que refletem a sonoridade característica da banda.
Formada por Tatiana Meyer nos vocais e synths, e Paulo Beto nas programações, synths e guitarra, a banda traz uma energia única para suas composições. "Matéria" é um álbum inspirado no amor entre os integrantes, que formam um casal, e também na música wave e dark eletrônica com guitarras dos anos 1980.
O álbum foi gravado inteiramente no home studio da banda, o Anvil FX, localizado em São Paulo, porque ambos também são integrantes dessa banda.
Destaque para a última faixa, que apresenta uma participação especial de Ana Romano, ex-integrante da banda Silverblood, trazendo um poema de seu livro "A Casa das Pessoas", lançado pela editora 7Letras. Essa faixa Joy Delirium é um cover de uma canção retirada do álbum “Imperfection” do Silverblood lançado em 1995.
A faixa "Ilha Urbana" também é um cover, no caso da banda Muzak, presente na icônica coletânea do post punk brasileiro "Não São Paulo", lançada em 1985.
As letras das músicas de Matéria abordam temas como feminismo e a busca por um entendimento sobre o que é ser civilizado e humano nos dias de hoje, questionando as estruturas patriarcais. Todas as letras foram escritas pelo casal Tatiana Meyer e Paulo Beto.
O processo de concepção do álbum levou cerca de 6 meses, resultando em um trabalho cuidadosamente elaborado. A arte da capa é de autoria de Tatiana Meyer, com design realizado por Gilbert.

I love the Delicious orange vinyl's original songs and now the remix is like visiting a friend for dessert. my favorite track on the Thin Skies Remix album is #4 Brouhaha (William Faith Remix). it's got a terrific dance beat to it. I like the guitar melody with everything thing else, drum and bass it is a perfect mix. it was made for the dance club in my opinion. (for now, my living room will do) Nancydeath75
