Making a cover of a musical field profoundly different from the one in which Instant Lake usually move, was a challenge as well as a tribute to an artist whose artistic production the Italian band has appreciated in the past. Dunkelheit represents the attempt to translate the sounds of a Scandinavian black metal manifesto, according to the musical coordinates most similar to Instant Lake, using the synthetic component instead of the percussive one and partially smoothing out the "noisy" angularity typical of black metal but always trying not to distort the beauty of the piece. An undoubtedly stimulating operation with a final result considered very satisfactory. The curiosity remains to understand if the work of the Italian quartet will intercept the taste of their loyal listeners as well as that of an audience different from the one that usually follows them.
