With the idea of exploring all possibilities and sub-genres of post-punk, the Brazilian based trio Herzegovina shows with this single its gothic and romantic side, a poignant and powerful song, a dance floors classic from other times, like The Cult, The Mission and Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, but adding his own personality, charged by an urgent energy that can be heard in all of their songs.
Coming from Rio de Janeiro, Herzegovina is formed by Rafael Crespo on vocals and guitars, Marcello Fernandes on bass and Mario Mamede on drums. Their experiences living in a chaotic city with an intense and often dangerous lifestyle made them reflect all that experience in their music.
The single “ROAD OF JOYS” is part of the album which will soon be released, it was recorded by the band itself in its own studio in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro.
The guitar riff leads the music and creates a climatic atmosphere, driven by a rigid bass line and a tribal resonant drums, until it reaches into a powerful and explosive chorus. The dark and deep voice melody gives a romantic and soft tone that breaks into an emotional call at the end of the song.
